Pro Watercross is proud to announce the official event schedule for the 2018 season. The Jet Ski Pro Watercross National Tour features six jam-packed events starting in May through November, ending with its World Championships in Naples, Florida. "Pro Watercross has become the largest and most popular watercross series in the country and this season's schedule will continue to bring growth to the sports, thanks to a great group of tour partners and host cities with fans all looking forward to our watercross race events," said Jennifer Handler, CIO of Pro Watercross.
Pro Watercross events will include the Watercross National Tour and special events, Hydroflight Open Tour, as well the introduction of a new concept in racing... Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Closed Course Racing.
Pro Watercross is working to revise its mission statement to include all categories of watersport racing events to appeal to people from all walks of life. "We will continue to support the powersports industry with our events, while producing events for watersport enthusiasts to gather and share a one-of-a-kind beach lifestyle experience" continued Ms. Handler. Since its inception in 1995, UWP, owner and producer of Pro Watercross events has become the largest watercross tour in the United States and is supported by industry-leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's).
CHANGES TO THE TOUR: The Tour would like to welcome Racine, Wisconsin back to the tour; Racine's North Beach Park is an ideal location for a tour stop, vast beach area with great surf, ample parking with close proximity to downtown hotel with great food and entertainment.
"We have been working hard to have Pro Watercross return to Racine. It's one of those events that both locals and out-of-town visitors seek out for a summer weekend. Between the athletes, the enthusiastic fans, and the always-stunning North Beach venue, I don't know why anyone would want to miss this show. Bring your family, your friends, your neighbors, and prepare for the most intense beach party ever!" said Cari Greving, Real Racine Event Director.
The positive economic impact the tour will generate also means Racine's businesses can anticipate receiving a major boost with the tour's arrival drawing thousands of people to their city. "Hotels, restaurants, bars and practically every other business in Racine will benefit from having a Pro Watercross National Tour Stop in town," continued Jennifer Handler CIO.
Sparks, Nevada: The 2018 US Open of Watercross will be a stand-alone event held at Sparks Marina Park; the event will be incorporating watercross racing and hydroflight competition on Saturday and closed course SUP racing on Sunday. It took less than an hour for Monster Energy Kawasaki Jet Ski® watercraft pilot Craig Warner to make history at the Long Beach to Catalina & Back IJSBA Offshore National Championships on Saturday. For the fifth time in his illustrious career Warner claimed victory, besting the record he tied when he won in 2013. It was a great event for Kawasaki as its Jet Ski watercraft models claimed every one of the top-10 overall positions.
Warner came into the event looking to defend his title from last year and permanently etch his name in the record books. In nearly ideal conditions, Warner was able to hold the throttle of his modified Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra® 310R wide open in his quest to become the greatest PWC Offshore Endurance racer of all-time. In 2013, Warner tied Hall of Famer Billy Womack with four wins at the prestigious event and once he crossed the finish line more than one minute ahead of his closest competitor, history had been made.
While Warner’s history making ride was impressive, he wasn’t the only Kawasaki Ultra 310R pilot to find success. Riding a stock Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 310R, Minoru Kanamori claimed first place in the Manufacturer Stock class and also rounded out the podium with third place overall, finishing just behind Pro/Am Open pilot K.C. Heidler who was also on a Kawasaki. In all Kawasaki swept the top-ten overall positions at the event.

The traveling menagerie that is the 2013 Hydro-Turf National Watercross Tour got off to a quick start at the Contraband Spike and Splash in Lake Charles, LA today. There was no shortage of controversy as old rivals picked up where
they left off at the end of last season. With that in mind we will look at the Pro Runabout Stock class first.
Everyone knows how dramatic the finish was to the Pro Runabout Stock class during the 2012 Hydro-Turf National Watercross Tour last season in this class and the two front runners were at it again in the first moto of the
season. Troy Snyder pulled the holeshot on his RIVA, Hydro-Turf Judge Motorsports Sea Doo and led until the final lap when Eric Francis made an aggressive move to the inside aboard his Dave's Auto Body, Monster Energy
Kawasaki to take over the lead. He left Snyder in the water and when the spray settled both riders were docked a lap putting Michael "Sleeping with the enemy" Bellamy in first Eric Lagopoulos on his RIVA powered Sea Doo in 2nd and
Dennis Mack in third with his Fly Racing Factory Yamaha.
In the Pro-Am Runabout Open class James Bushell put on a clinic aboard his OptimaRacing.com BRP Sea Doo going wire to wire for the win. Behind him Abdullha Alfadhel looked good running his RIVA Racing Dean's Team Yamaha to a
second place finish with Erminio Iantosca in tow on his Judge Motorsports, Hydro-Turf Sea Doo.
The Pro-Am Ski GP class had Chris MacClugage get out to an early lead on his Monster Energy MACC Racing boat and though he was pressured early on by the Hydro-Turf Rockstar Energy rider Rob Flores the G.O.A.T. took the win after
Flores had some boat issues and finished a distant 5th. David Redinger looked solid on his Kommander Industries, Fly, Blowsion powered Kawasaki in route to a 2nd place finish with Kody Copenhaver rounding out the top three on
his Kommander Industries, Oakley boat.
The freestyle world had been waiting for Daniel Martin to make the jump to the pro ranks and he did it with a bang today on his Hydro-Turf, Jet Pilot Xscream machine, putting the rest of the class on notice with is dominating performance
today. Jason Stoyer and Jeremy Parr went big but they are going to have to dig a little deeper if they want to upend the Doc in tomorrow's session.
We get back to the action tomorrow starting with the Pro classes which kick off at 11 am and continue until 2 pm, with amateur action to follow. For the latest race results got to Facebook.com/uwpinc. And for live updates on the race
results follow us on twitter at #raceannouncer.
The 2013 Hot Products IJSBA Mark Hahn Memorial
Havasu 300 mile National Team Endurance Race is all set to launch on February
23, 2013 from Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The event
will once again be sanctioned by the International Jet Sports Boating
Association (IJSBA), and it is expected to draw a record number teams from
around the globe as well as all of the top PWC racers from the US. The Teams
will be competing against each other while trying to break the 300 mile record
of 4 hours 17.35 minutes set by the 2012 Mark Hahn Memorial Overall winners
Jean Bruno Pastorello and Pierre Carlier of Team Kawasaki.
The race is being held again in the memory of endurance racer Mark Hahn who was
instrumental in providing the momentum to keep endurance racing going strong
and growing across the country before his untimely death during a PWC race in
2004. The “Team” format features two riders for runabout (sit down) boat teams
and up to three riders for a stand-up craft. Solo riders are also welcome to
“Ironman” the race on either style of boat, a real test of endurance and stamina
reserved for only the true endurance zealots. The 2012 event was the fifth PWC
event to use transponders in the United States and has been well received and
helped to increase the professionalism of this national event. Transponders
will be used in the 2013 event as well.
“The race is returning to Crazy Horse Campground’s Main Beach site for this very
important event”, said Jim Russell, “and the 10 mile course we have approval
from the Coast Guard will pit all the teams against the wind, rough water and
long runs that this event has become synonymous with.” In addition to all the
weather and water conditions all the teams have to contend with, they will also
be required to make fuel stops, without spilling fuel, and make rider changes
several times during the race, while modifying their race strategies as the
race progresses. There will be six different classes competing on the race
course simultaneously, with all the racers competing for the overall title. At
the conclusion of the race, each class winning team will be crowned the IJSBA
National Team Endurance Champion for their respective class. A first-class
awards program that once again will be held at the Aquatic center Rods and Recs
