Get ready for an exciting announcement from the IJSBA! The 2002 Amateur & Pro-Am Watercross National Championships just got even better with the addition of eight new classes. And who will benefit from this, you might ask? Well, it's great news for older racers, those who own vintage watercraft, and those who love the thrill of no-holds-barred modified racing.
According to PM Sports Marketing's Patrick Mell, the interest in bringing back modified classes has been growing among racers in recent years. The new classes include Amateur Ski, 650 Ski, and 550 Ski Modified, Masters Ski Superstock, Amateur Runabout 1200, 800, and 660 Modified, and Amateur Sport Modified. This means that riders who already have the resources to build modified watercraft or those who want to get involved in an affordable way can sign up directly for the championships. The IJSBA is not requiring interested racers to qualify for the new classes. So, dust off that 550 you have in the garage, and get ready for an adrenaline-pumping ride at the championships. This announcement is sure to make old-time racers happy and attract new racers to the sport. Don't miss out on the action!
