Lake Allatoona - Is located off of 75 in Acworth Ga. Coming from TN take I - 75 South to Red Top Mountain Rd Exit. Coming from Atlanta take I - 75 North to Red Top Mountan Rd Exit in Acworth. Coming from 285 eaither way take I-75 North to Red Top Mountain Road Exit. Allatoona is about a 3rd of the size of Lake Lanier and a lot less crowded, the boat ramps are about the same price as everywhere else, plenty of places to put in, lots of wild life and camping and that good southern cooking :-) Boat Rentals and Gas on the Lake... (Gas is expensive on the lake so BYOG (Bring Your Own Gas).

Another Lake Allatoona Review- There is a small penninsula near the Little River Marina that they call "jetski island." On a typical weekend, you will find the shores covered with jetskiers with the latest and greatest toys. The area is away from the main channel so it is fairly predictable. I have been there a few times when they have had buoys set up for racing. The water is great and if you stick around long enough, you will learn something. Driving: The area is by the Little River public access ramps off of Bells Ferry road. You can also get there by taking the gravel path right before the public ramp if heading north on BellsFerry.

Lake Lanier... Although there are many deaths on Lanier each year due to boating accidents the lake to me is safe and very fun to ride on. The lake has a wide variety of boats that make the water unpredictible. There are Cruisers that put out 8ft waves to launch off off then theres 3 or 4 houseboats riding together that make for some whoops and timing jumps. HEHE this lake is crowded but it has all anyone could ask for on a sunny day. Try it out sometime it's located just northeast of Atlanta.

David's family loves to ride Lake Hartwell. The lake forms part of the border between Georgia and South Carolina. During the week, the lake is nearly deserted. Even on weekends, it is not as crowded as many smaller lakes. People in this area are definitely "jet ski" friendly. Check it out!
Clarks Hill Lake is the best place to ride in Georgia. Located 12 miles above Augusta, Georgia on the border of South Carolina. The folks over at the Department of Natural Resources are very fair and promote PWC safety. Lots of room to ski and tube. Several islands over 20 campgrounds, 50 boatramps, and several places to get gas. Enjoy and keep our lake clean!!!
