Milford lake is the largest lake in Kansas, its located in N.E. Kansas just a few miles outside of Junction city and Ft. Riley the military base. It's 20 miles from Manhattan home of Kansas State University. Report: MILFORD LAKE, KS - I must admit, I'm a "Bass Angler" with one of those boats that have one speed - FAST. Yea, I'm the guy that has raced some of you jetskiers thinking I could beat all of you. OK, some of you win and some of you lose. But if I was a jet-skier and wanted a place to ski fast or slow - Milford Lake would be the place for me. The largest lake in the state of Kansas offers some of the best water to jetski in. Milford Lake is known for its clear water, with outstanding beach areas. The lake is undeveloped, making it perfect for exploring and jetsking - and no whining lake front property owners. Due to the lake having both east/west and north/south areas, you can usually find calm water or wave water. The lake is soooo big that you'll be able to find places to jetski by yourself or join in the fun with others. Milford Lake is located just 5 miles from I-70 and can be accessed from a variety of places. The Milford Lake State Park has a "Dedicated" jet-ski launch area, with picnic tables, fire-pits and parking. The cost to use the state park is $20.00 per year, this give you access to every state park in Kansas. Oh yea, the LARGEST free Independence Day celebration in Kansas takes place at Milford Lake.
